Our complete aquarium fertiliser provides aquarium plants with important nutrients and supports vital growth. It is a good idea to buy an iron fertiliser to ensure a basic supply for aquarium plants. Fertilising the aquarium also ensures a particularly intense colouring of the leaves.
All the advantages at a glance:
- Iron fertiliser as a basic supply for aquarium plants
- Contains all essential nutrients
- Supports vital growth
- Intense leaf colouring
- Less algae formation
Ferrdrakon complete iron fertiliser as a ready-to-use solution or as a refill pack
Ferrdrakon complete iron fertiliser serves as the basis for fertilising a normally planted tank without any other special features. The complete aquarium fertiliser contains all the important and essential nutrients.
To fertilise aquatic plants, however, supplementary fertiliser products such as Eudrakon N and Eudrakon P can be added to supplement the fertilisation with macronutrients such as nitrate or phosphate if required.
Extremely strong lighting and very dense planting produce strong plant growth. This and trickle filters or UV water clarifiers cause an increased consumption of certain micronutrients. In this case, in addition to the complete aquarium fertiliser, a special fertiliser such as Daydrakon or Ferrdrakon K should also be used.
Iron fertiliser for the aquarium - composition [in mg/L]
Potassium 3,000, iron 1,000, magnesium 750, manganese 400, boron 60, copper 20, molybdenum 20, zinc 20, cobalt 10, nickel 10, iodide 4.6, EDTA, HEEDTA, DTPA, NTA or IDHA*, methylparaben, ascorbic acid
* Please observe the package information.
Weekly addition of Ferrdrakon at recommended dosage [in µg/l]
Potassium 300, iron 100, magnesium 75, manganese 40, boron 6, copper 2, molybdenum 2, zinc 2, nickel 1, cobalt 1, iodide 0.46
Dosage
10 ml per 100 litres of aquarium water every week (± 50 % depending on plant growth)
A daily addition of 1/7 of the amount calculated in this way is advantageous.
When fertilising aquarium plants, start with the lowest possible dosage and only increase slowly. The effect should be monitored: if no further improvement in growth can be observed or problems with algae occur, the dose should be reduced again.
A minimum water change of 25 % every 2 weeks is a prerequisite. More is not harmful, but makes a lot of sense.
Optimum iron content
0.05 - 0.1 mg/litre
Instructions for use
Before use, please follow the instructions before use.
Fertiliser powder weight
13,9 g
Production from 11/21 with IDHA: 14.6 g
Shelf life of the powder mixture
Dark and protected from moisture - shelf life almost unlimited.
The self-prepared solution usually has a light yellow colour. Some time after exposure to air, the colour can deepen to a deep brown or greenish black, but always remains clear. The effect of the fertiliser remains unchanged.

Fertiliser in powder form for 1 litre
Fertiliser in powder form for 1 litre of water. Why pay for expensive packaging and water? I've been buying it for years and am very happy with it.

I had problems with algae for years, the plant growth was sparse, I have been using Ferrdrakon for 1 year, 15 ml per 200 litres of water per week, my echis thank me with good growth and lush green leaves. 5 stars from me.
