Water conditioner and water conditioner for fresh water - For aquarium fish and invertebrates
Improved tropical formula with care colloids, humic substances, aloe vera, dexpanthenol, vitamins and iodine
- Aloe vera and dexpanthenol as active mucous membrane protection
- Highly effective humic substances as in clear and black water
- Vitamin complex against stress
- Masks heavy metals such as copper and zinc
- Effectively removes free chlorine and chloramines
- Iodine increases vitality in fish and prevents moulting problems in invertebrates, among other things
Dosage
10 ml / 40 litres of fresh water when changing the water
Please shake briefly before use!
Large overdoses should be avoided. They have no further positive effect and could possibly lead to problems (oxygen depletion etc.).
Chlorine and chloramine removal
The maximum permissible chlorine content in drinking water of 0.3 mg/l (which is rarely reached) is reliably reduced and thus detoxified. The detoxifying effect of Aquadrakon Black would even be sufficient for more than twice the chlorine content.
Detoxification of heavy metals
Heavy metals are masked by complexing agents (chelators: EDTA, DTPA, HEEDTA, NTA), thereby reducing their toxic effect by a factor of at least 1,000.
Interactions with aquatic plant fertilisers are not to be feared as long as these are fully chelated like the DRAK products.
The quantity of chelators used in accordance with the instructions is such that up to 2 mg/l of copper in fresh water (maximum permissible value according to the Drinking Water Ordinance) is reliably bound.
To prevent excess chelators from complexing calcium and magnesium from the total hardness and thus removing them from the system (this could otherwise lead to deficiency symptoms in fish and plants), these are already introduced as Ca and Mg complexes. All heavy metals to be detoxified (copper, zinc, lead, cadmium etc.) bind much more strongly to the chelators than calcium or magnesium and therefore displace them from the complexes.
Mucous membrane protection
Untreated fresh water is aggressive to mucous membranes!
The very mineral-poor waters of the tropics (clear and black water) in particular are rich in organic substances (water-soluble cellulose and lignin degradation products, tannic acids, humic substances: 10 - 40 mg/l !).
These substances are also found in our waters, albeit to a lesser extent. However, they are completely removed during drinking water treatment.
However, our aquarium fish have adapted to this water and therefore also need these substances in the aquarium.
The water-soluble cellulose derivative carboxymethylcellulose used replaces the cellulose degradation products, a highly effective humic salt replaces the humic substances of the tropical waters of origin of our fish.
The nourishing ingredients (and additional minerals and vitamins) of aloe vera provide additional protection for (mucous) membranes and can therefore stabilise fish skin that has been badly damaged during transport (by being caught in a net, transported in a bag, adapted to completely different water values, etc.).
The added vitamin complex (including healing-promoting dexpanthenol) supports the healing of mucous membranes and fins, combats stress and promotes beneficial bacterial cultures in the aquarium.
Shelf life
Store in a dark (vitamins are sensitive to light) and cool place - minimum shelf life 3 years.
A harmless and well-tolerated preservative (methylparaben) is added to prevent possible infestation with fungi or bacteria.
Interactions
Aquadrakon Black Please do not use at the same time as other products with a high humic substance content (this mainly refers to certain medicines. The release of humic substances through leaves and peat is nowhere near the concentration that would cause problems). In this case, the beneficial range for some fish could be exceeded and the otherwise positive effect could be reversed. In these cases, it makes sense to stagger the addition and reduce the individual doses.

Aquadrakon Black Water conditioner
A great water conditioner.
It is very good for my fish (Altum angelfish).
The product is a little more expensive than other water conditioners but it is worth every cent.
It also combines two products that would be more expensive individually.
Water conditioner and supplier of humic substances.
Since I've been using it, my Altums show their velvety lustre and have lost their skittishness. They almost enjoy changing the water.
In my opinion, the water change is also better for my shrimps. There have been no losses so far.
I can only recommend the product to every aquarist.
