Long-term phosphate fertiliser - continuous addition of phosphate
In contrast to the majority of other aquaria, some heavily planted and illuminated tanks with moderate to low fish populations require supplementation with the basic nutrient phosphorus - P or phosphate - PO.4.
Depending on the size of the aquarium, the fertiliser supply consists of no more than half a handful of material, shrink-wrapped in a plastic net ready for use. The material system Aquafim® itself is insoluble and does not release any undesirable substances into the water. Once in use, controlled quantities of fertiliser are released from the material day after day. Due to the constant release, there are no so-called "concentration surges", which has a positive effect on plants and animals - without the need to purchase an expensive and vulnerable electromechanical dosing pump.
The target value is in the range of 0.1 - 0.2 mg/litre phosphate. More is rarely necessary and usually only promotes algae growth unnecessarily.
When changing the water, it makes sense to add the changed amount of water with the Eudrakon P solution to the values recommended above. This serves to compensate for the phosphate removed with the changed water.
Rinse briefly with running water before first use.
With Eudrakon P Power reliably eliminates competition between different, difficult and sensitive aquatic plants. Because the nutrients are available practically without interruption, no plant is able to take nutrients away from another to its detriment, i.e. to use them up faster than its competitor.
Caution
Adsorber materials that are offered for binding silicic acid (SiO₂) also always bind phosphate to a greater or lesser extent!
So if you want to permanently increase the phosphate content of your aquarium water, you have no choice but to remove such silicate adsorbers from the water cycle.
Release time: 2 months
Release quantity per net bag: 10 mg phosphate (absolute) / day
