CO2-bubble counters are used to monitor the CO2-supply: Too much CO2 and the resulting very low pH value unnecessarily stresses the aquarium inhabitants.
If there is too little carbon dioxide, on the other hand, the plants in the aquarium suffer.
The integrated non-return valve protects the technical components of the CO2-system from backflowing water. The hose connections can be secured with a union nut to guarantee an optimum hold.
Rule of thumb for setting the CO2-flow with the bubble counter
10 bubbles per minute per 100 litres of aquarium water. In the following days, check whether the number of bubbles is still constant and if not, readjust accordingly.
