The in Aquadrakon EL has an extremely large (more than 1,000 m2/g) and highly active surface area. The finely dispersed particles act as ion exchangers, adsorbents, catalysers and complexing agents.
The following pollutants are irreversibly bound or broken down into non-toxic and harmless fragments:
- Heavy metals
- pesticides
- Residues from medicines
- chlorine
- chloramine
- ammonium
- odourants
- and much more
Further effects:
- Reduces the bacterial density in the water (non-substrate-bound bacteria are practically always harmful organisms)
- Serves as a settlement substrate for beneficial bacteria in the filter and substrate
- Binds free-floating algae and algae spores
This results in a number of improvements in the aquarium and pond:
- Stabilisation of all water values
- Agile animals with a healthy appetite and beautiful colouring
- Disease prevention and support for healing after illnesses
- Reduction of transport losses
Dosage
10 ml / 40 litres of fresh water For water changes and new set-ups
- For regular water care, add half dose.
- For heavily contaminated water and for breeding systems, you can use double dose can be used.
- The triple dose can be used in problematic cases, such as to support the treatment of diseases and in the case of clouding of fins and mucous membranes, and to remove drug residues.
More than the triple dose has no additional benefit.
Important: Shake the bottle or canister vigorously for approx. 30 seconds immediately before use!
The use of Aquadrakon EL results in a strong clouding of the water, which can last for different lengths of time depending on the degree of contamination of the water, after which the water becomes crystal clear:

Chlorine and chloramine removal
Aquadrakon EL catalyses the decomposition of chlorine into chloride and oxygen. As this process takes some time, it is necessary to allow the treated fresh water to stand for some time before use if the chlorine content is high.
In Germany, a maximum chlorine content of 0.3 mg/l is permitted. However, in exceptional cases (e.g. high water, flooding) this value may be exceeded for a short time.
Outside Germany, however, the permissible chlorine content in drinking water can be significantly higher.
With a chlorine content of 4 mg/l, for example, a minimum waiting time of 8 hours should be observed before using the treated drinking water.
Interactions
As Aquadrakon EL cannot distinguish between good and bad heavy metals, other products such as our plant fertilisers should only be used after the turbidity has subsided. Otherwise it is possible that some of the nutrients will also be undesirably bound by Aquadrakon EL and will then no longer be available to the plants.
