Clay-based soil additive and depot fertiliser
Clay has very special and unique properties that predestine it as a substrate for plant aquariums.
It has similar properties to an ion exchanger and can therefore ensure an even supply of nutrients by absorbing them when there is an oversupply and releasing them again when required.
The black peat contains up to 35 % humic acids. It thus ensures the desired low pH in the soil environment, which, together with the property of humic acids to act as a weak chelator, ensures that the added nutrients remain in a form that is available to plants.
Together with the clay, this ensures that the nutrients are only released very slowly.
Our recommended quantity: approx. 1 g / 10 cm2 soil surface
| One pack of | is therefore sufficient for the following basic size |
| 250 g | 60 cm × 40 cm |
| 500 g | 100 cm × 50 cm |
| 1.000 g | 150 cm × 70 cm |
| 2.000 g | 250 cm × 80 cm |
Application
The substrate stains strongly, so wear gloves if necessary and take care not to contaminate clothing, carpets or furniture!
- Install underfloor heating (if available)
- Cover the underfloor heating with a third of the existing sand/gravel (make sure that no water stands on the surface)
- Terrdrakon evenly
- and cover with the remaining sand/gravel (at least 4 - 5 cm)
- Place a piece of plastic film or similar on top to protect it from being churned up
- Fill with 15 - 20 cm of water using a watering can and shower spout
- Remove the plastic film again before planting
- Plant the pool
- Fill in the remaining water

Since 2002...
with DRAK.
Very few aquarists are chemists.
I don't want to turn the hobby into a science, even though I regularly check a few H2O values.
Here you can get products that work and are easy to use.
Terrdrakon is available in spherical form for subsequent/regular fertilisation.

Best substrate additive on the market
I am convinced by the "Drak" products. I have now started keeping aquariums again after a long break. I certainly had a 112 litre tank five years ago and found out about the Drak products via a forum. I then tried them out and was delighted. I have now used the Terrdrakon substrate to set up my new 200 litre tank. The tank has been running for two months now and I'm delighted, the plants are growing so quickly that I can hardly keep up with the gardening. Highly recommended!
