Bactedrakon - filter bacteria

Natural filter bacteria for all freshwater aquariums

For starting up new aquariums and filters

Contains a specially balanced, purely natural mixture of various nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, which are essential for the biological balance in the water. The bacteria become active immediately when added to the aquarium water.

  • Prevention of water turbidity
  • Rapid conversion of toxic ammonia (ammonium below pH 7.5) and nitrite into non-toxic substances
  • Accelerated decomposition of organic waste
  • Stabilisation of the biological balance
  • Safe for humans, animals and the environment

As we can learn from the professional operators of municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants, the degradation bacteria in a sewage treatment plant also compete for space and nutrients just like the living organisms in any other biotope. From the microbiologist's point of view, an aquarium is also just a smaller clarifier in this sense. Without external intervention, a more or less well-functioning bacterial flora establishes itself over time, but from our point of view (rapid and effective degradation of pollutants) it does not work optimally. For this reason, selected and optimised bacterial strains with a high degradation capacity are regularly added to the system in order to influence the microbiology in the desired direction.
With Bactedrakon you can now do this on an aquarium scale just like the professionals. This is why we recommend Bactedrakon not only for setting up the tank ("running in the aquarium") and after cleaning the filter, but also regularly in between to ensure that the bacterial culture in the filter and aquarium is always as optimally degraded as possible.

Highly recommended

Use over time in 9 tanks. Filters run stably, no failures, no unwanted algae. Applies if you have the necessary patience and give nature the time it needs.

Seems to work

Following a tip "on the internet" (however much you want to give to something like that), I tried using "new filter bacteria" to combat my blue-green algae problem in one of my tanks, which had been stubbornly in there for years. After six months (or so) the blue-green algae were gone. Of course, this could also be a coincidence.
The idea was that the filter bacteria should compete with the cyano bacteria, and that during a blue-green algae infestation the previously existing filter bacteria can only just hold their own and should get a boost.

No nitrite, no ammonium

It is used here for running in and changing the water.
I have no idea whether it would work in the same way without it, but I am convinced by Doc Kremser's reasoning. In the 30-litre nano, for example, 1ml of it every week when changing the water, 2ml Ferrdrakon, 3ml Aquadrakon.
Plants grow, fish are healthy, water crystal clear.

OK.

I have been using Bactedrakon with a dosing pump for 3 years. It is added after every WW. The filter runs stably. The bacteria do what they are supposed to do. I can recommend the product.
