Green HDPE plastic grid
This planting grid is ideal for creating moss and plant walls (e.g. for planting epiphytes). However, it can also be used to make planting baskets, spawning boxes, juvenile fish boxes or spawning grids.
Fish and invertebrates are not endangered by the material as it has no sharp edges and therefore poses no risk of injury. Due to its green colouring, it is visually very inconspicuous. It can also be used as a protective mat in the substrate for heavily burrowing fish.
The mesh is available in 1 metre wide rolls and is supplied in the ordered quantity in one piece. One running metre corresponds to 1 m².
The approx. 1.5 mm thick threads are fully welded together at the knots, making the plastic mesh extremely dimensionally stable and stretch-resistant. Nevertheless, it can be easily cut with standard household scissors or a sharp knife.
The mesh is made entirely of extruded HDPE plastic (without a metal mesh frame) and therefore does not release any harmful substances into the water. The material used is therefore also resistant to diluted acids and alkalis as well as being lightfast and leach-proof due to the complete colouring.
Use outside the aquarium
In the home and garden, it can be used as a lightweight fence grid, partition grid, leaf protection grid, vole protection grid, playpen grid for rearing young birds, protective grid in flower pots and in many other areas. It is also frequently used as protection for scratch-sensitive surfaces during storage, as it is also very pressure-resistant.
