PAA - sodium polyaspartate
Sodium polyaspartate (polyaspartic acid sodium salt, PAA sodium salt) is a water-soluble, readily degradable polymer that is used as a dispersing agent and stone inhibitor. This means that it prevents small precipitates in solutions from forming larger agglomerates and precipitating.
Its structure is modelled on natural polymers, such as those formed by mussels to control shell growth, and it represents an ecological alternative to the practically non-biodegradable acrylates otherwise used for this purpose.
We use this polymer for additional stabilisation of our biodegradable fertiliser and trace element solutions.
