Ethoxyquin
Synthetic, highly effective antioxidant for animal feed.
It delays the formation of peroxides that occur during the oxidation of fats and thus delays the rancidity of fats. Rancid fats are growth-inhibiting, toxic and carcinogenic.
The oxidative degradation of vitamins A and E is also delayed.
Although some sources attribute a carcinogenic potential to ethoxyquin itself, these results come from studies involving thousands of overdoses in rats, which then developed kidney damage with subsequent malignant degeneration. I believe that the positive effects on fat loss more than outweigh the minimal risk posed by etoxyquin.
