Acid binding capacity
Value for the buffering capacity of a water against titration with a strong acid up to pH 4.3 in mmol/l.
This value multiplied by 2.8 gives the carbonate hardness (KH) in °dH. However, by definition the KH is never greater than the total hardness (GH).
