Black peat granules with long-term effect for water softening.
The humic acids contained in the granules are gently released into the water and the pH value is lowered. Prevents the formation of algae and fungi.
Contents
Pure uncontaminated North German black peat, processed in Germany (1 litre ~ 420 - 450 g).
Mode of action
Release of humic acids and thus reduction of carbonate hardness and pH.
Acts as a weakly acidic ion exchanger, absorbs calcium and magnesium ions - thus lowering the total hardness and pH.
Humic acids and lower pH have a germ-inhibiting and fungicidal effect.
Dosage
1 litre of black peat granules is sufficient for 800 - 1,000 litres of water, depending on the pH value and carbonate hardness of the source water.
The black peat granules should then be changed approximately every 8 to 12 weeks. After use in the aquarium, the granules can be used for composting or disposed of in the organic waste.
Tip: A net stocking with peat in the rainwater barrel reliably prevents the development of annoying mosquitoes!

Absolutely recommendable peat. Great value for money. The peat reliably lowers the pH value and leaves a beautiful amber-coloured effect in the water. Exactly as it should!
